Data controller

Nicola Taddonio, Matera, Italy. VAT no. 01204810772. Email nicola.taddonio@gmail.com.

What data I process and why

Browsing data. Like any website, the server automatically logs some technical data about each visit: IP address, date and time, requested page, browser and operating system. This data keeps the site running, protects it from abuse and helps fix technical problems. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in running a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). I do not use this data to identify or profile visitors. Logs are kept for short periods, according to the hosting provider’s settings.

Data you send me. If you email me, message me on Telegram or call me, I process the data you share (name, contact details, the content of your message) only to reply and, if you ask, to prepare a quote or carry out a project. The legal basis is replying to your request and pre-contractual or contractual measures (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR); for invoices and tax records, legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR). I keep correspondence for as long as needed to handle the request and any resulting project, and accounting records for the period required by Italian law (usually 10 years).

Cookies

The site only uses technical cookies, which do not require consent. I use no profiling cookies, analytics or advertising.

  • pll_language: remembers your language (Italian or English). Lasts 1 year.
  • displayCookieConsent: remembers that you closed the cookie notice. Lasts 1 year.

If you log in to the admin area, WordPress sets its own technical login cookies; these only concern the site administrators. You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings and the site will keep working.

External services

Fonts, images and videos are hosted on the site itself. There are no embedded social network widgets, maps or third-party videos. The links to LinkedIn, Academia.edu, Instagram, Facebook, Telegram and sassitour.it are plain links: those sites receive your data only if you open them, and process it under their own privacy policies.

Who processes data on my behalf

The site is hosted by Hostinger International Ltd. (Cyprus), which runs the servers as data processor. Email is handled through Gmail (Google). Both providers apply the safeguards required by the GDPR, including standard contractual clauses for any transfer outside the European Union. Data is not sold or shared with third parties for marketing. It may be disclosed to public authorities only where the law requires it.

Your rights

You can ask at any time to access, correct or erase your data, restrict its processing, object to processing based on legitimate interest, and receive your data in a portable format (Arts. 15-22 GDPR). Write to nicola.taddonio@gmail.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (garanteprivacy.it).

If the site changes, for example with a contact form or analytics, I will update this policy. Last updated: 3 November 2026.
